Watch this powerful 30-minute film by The Gaia Foundation and The African Biodiversity Network, “Seeds of Freedom,” narrated by Jeremy Irons. Both organizations are grantees of Swift Foundation as is GRAIN.

Seeds of Freedom charts the story of seed from the heart of traditional, diversity rich farming systems across the world, to being transformed into a powerful commodity, used to monopolise the global food system.

The film features interviews with global experts and activists Dr Vandana Shiva of Navdanya, Henk Hobbelink of GRAIN, Zac Goldsmith MP (UK Conservative party), Canadian farmer Percy Schmeiser, Kumi Naidoo of Greenpeace International, Ramon Herrera (GRAIN Mexico), Gathuru Mburu (the African Biodiversity Network), Liz Hosken (The Gaia Foundation) and Caroline Lucas MP (UK Green party).
